About this role

PayPal runs a global two-sided payments network connecting merchants and consumers, with products such as PayPal, Venmo and Xoom. This Back End Software Engineer role is based in Bangalore and sits at the early-career end of the engineering ladder. The person works on tasks across the software development lifecycle with guidance and oversight from more experienced engineers. Day to day it involves following established internal conventions, making technical decisions within those standards, and working with peers, the manager and the project lead to understand tasks and review solutions. It suits someone with a bachelor's degree and about a year of relevant experience who wants structured on-the-job growth. PayPal follows a hybrid model for most employees, with three days a week in the office.
