It is hands-on work on one or several projects at once, covering functional, non-functional and analytics testing. It suits engineers with 1-3 years of automation experience, mainly in Java, who can work independently in a fast-paced product team.

What you'll do

  • Set up and implement test automation strategy for assigned modules
  • Add new capabilities and features to the shared automation framework
  • Create test strategies and test plans for short-term and long-term projects
  • Maintain test coverage and report on it periodically to engineering and stakeholders
  • Debug and find root causes of failures across application, API, automation and infrastructure layers

What you need

  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience in automation testing at a product development company
  • Hands-on Java test automation; a scripting language such as Python
  • Experience with TestNG, Maven, Selenium, Appium and REST/web services testing (RestAssured)
  • Good understanding of relational databases (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server) and DB queries
  • Understanding of design patterns and QA fundamentals such as test planning and defect management
  • Experience testing distributed, cloud-native systems
