What you'll do

  • Create test cases, scenarios and scripts from feature descriptions in JIRA or test management tools
  • Execute manual and automated test cases, including regression, ad hoc and bug-verification tests
  • Debug automated test scripts and analyze results to find the source of defects
  • Perform basic security and vulnerability testing, document findings and assist with penetration testing
  • Take part in sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog and retrospective meetings
  • Suggest improvements to QA processes and automation frameworks

What you need

  • 2-4 years of experience in software testing, preferably security testing for embedded controls and applications
  • Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and Python scripting
  • Experience testing embedded UI controls and APIs, including functional automation
  • Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment
  • Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and security tools
  • Working knowledge of CAN, MODBUS and RS232/485 communication protocols
  • Good knowledge of the software test life cycle and test methodologies
  • A 4-year degree is not required; candidates without one are encouraged to apply
