About this role

This is a roughly 6-month internship at the Airbus Engineering Centre in Bengaluru, ideally starting January 2027 with some flexibility on dates. The intern works on AI-based digital solutions and enablers used by global Airbus teams. Day to day, the work covers building Generative AI workflows with Python and LangChain, and using AI models to speed up migration and transformation work such as Oracle to Postgres, .NET migration and Microsoft decommissioning. It suits engineering students with hands-on Python skills and exposure to machine learning and LLM applications.

What you'll do

  • Build and optimize Generative AI workflows using Python and LangChain
  • Develop and refine prompt templates for LLMs and integrate tools and agents in LangChain
  • Implement RAG pipelines using vector databases
  • Support Microsoft platform decommissioning and the .NET Sunset Program, including assessment, planning and migration
  • Build interactive frontends with Streamlit or Gradio together with the AI/ML team
  • Help deploy and test models and services on GCP, and document work and learnings

What you need

  • Engineering background with exposure to Machine Learning, Deep Learning and AI
  • Strong hands-on Python programming
  • Experience with Generative AI workflows using LangChain, including prompt templates and agent tools
  • Understanding of RAG and experience with vector databases such as FAISS, Chroma or Pinecone
  • Proficiency with Jupyter Notebooks and IDEs like VS Code or PyCharm on real-time projects
  • Strong problem-solving, communication and collaboration skills, and ability to work independently and in a transnational team
