About this role

Docyt builds an AI-native ERP for hotels, restaurants, retail and franchises that runs accounting, payments and business intelligence on a single ledger. As an Associate Product Engineer in the Noida Sector 62 office, you own work end to end: investigate customer escalations, find the root cause, build and test the fix, and confirm it works in production. The work covers accounts payable and bill pay, month-end close, AI transaction categorisation, financial reporting and ledger migration. The stack is Ruby on Rails and Java Spring Boot, with React and TypeScript on the front end, and Claude Code is used daily. A senior engineer reviews your work, and you are expected to ship from your first week. It suits engineers with 1–3 years of experience, or new graduates who have shipped a project, who like digging into problems before writing code.

What you'll do

  • Reproduce support escalations on QA and trace root causes in code and production data
  • Build fixes and features with tests in Java (Spring Boot) or Ruby on Rails, plus React when needed
  • Open pull requests, respond to review comments and keep CI green
  • Test your own changes on QA and record a short Loom walkthrough for product acceptance
  • Take changes through staging to production, verify them and update the original support ticket

What you need

  • 1–3 years of software engineering experience, or a new graduate who has shipped at least one project
  • Strong in Java or Ruby on Rails and able to pick up the other quickly
  • SQL skills good enough to verify theories against production data
  • Clear written communication for tickets, PR descriptions and Loom narration
  • Serious hands-on use of AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot
  • Some working overlap with US time zones
