About this role
Fortrea's India Apprentice Program places apprentices in a global team that builds and maintains tools for the company's commercial organisation, including the Sales, Proposals and Contracts departments. The Solutions Developer Apprentice handles entry-level work such as running daily and weekly data cleaning processes and investigating why they fail. The role also involves debugging existing code and analysing data held in Excel, CSV and SQL files. With guidance, the apprentice starts building new programs or automation. It suits recent graduates in technical, quantitative or business fields who know at least one scripting language.

What you'll do
- Run and execute daily and weekly data cleaning processes
- Analyze data to find exceptions and issues that cause the daily processes to fail
- Code and debug existing programs to make required business modifications
- Perform mathematical, statistical or financial analysis on Excel, CSV and SQL data
- Develop new programs or automation with guidance to support business needs
What you need
- Bachelor's or Master's in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Accounting or similar
- Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language such as Visual Basic, VBA or Python
- Skills in scripting, programming and computation (mathematics, statistics, basic numeracy)
- Basic understanding of Excel, CSV and SQL is beneficial
