About this role
This role supports Genesys's internal enterprise AI tool ecosystem, including Claude, ChatGPT Enterprise, Cursor, Amazon Q and internal platforms such as GEL. The engineer helps keep these tools available, secure and well integrated for thousands of internal users. Work covers Python-based services and automation for AI governance, compliance and security, plus platform monitoring, access administration and integrations. The engineer works with senior engineers and the AI Enablement & Automation manager, following runbooks while building toward broader ownership. It suits engineers with a couple of years in software, platform or DevOps work who are interested in AI tooling.

What you'll do
- Build Python services and automation for AI governance, security, privacy and compliance, including access reviews and audit-evidence collection
- Build AI-enabled internal applications and workflows using enterprise model APIs and SDKs, with evaluations, guardrails and cost controls
- Build dashboards for platform health, license use, token and cost consumption, and access posture
- Monitor uptime of enterprise AI tools and follow runbooks to escalate and help resolve issues
- Administer provisioning, de-provisioning and role assignments for AI tools, and support access reviews
- Build and maintain basic integrations such as SSO and API connectors, and handle routine support requests
What you need
- 2+ years in software engineering, platform engineering, IT operations or DevOps, with some exposure to SaaS/AI tooling administration
- Strong Python skills for production applications and automation, including testing, logging and secure configuration
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs, webhooks and event-based workflows, including authentication, retries and API versioning
- Hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications using enterprise model APIs or SDKs
- Understanding of structured model outputs, tool calling, prompt versioning, human-in-the-loop controls, evaluations and guardrails
- Proficiency in SQL and in designing data models, pipelines, queries and dashboards
