What you'll do

  • Design, build, test and maintain backend services and REST APIs in Node.js and TypeScript
  • Own small-to-medium features end to end, including rollout and post-release monitoring
  • Write efficient SQL queries, work with indexes and migrations, and improve database performance
  • Build third-party integrations and background jobs using queues and Redis, handling retries and failures
  • Add logs, metrics and traces and debug production issues
  • Use AI coding tools and review code, validating generated code for correctness and security

What you need

  • 1–3 years of experience building production backend services with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Sound grounding in data structures, algorithms and debugging
  • Comfortable with SQL, joins, indexes and query execution plans
  • Understanding of multi-tenant architecture, caching, queues, retries and idempotency
  • Understanding of REST API design principles
  • Regular use of AI coding tools and strong written communication
