About this role
This Bengaluru role is part of GSK's Digital & Tech organisation, within the Enterprise Systems Management & Business Operations team. The engineer configures, tests, documents and supports Engineering, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) and Sustainability applications used at GSK manufacturing sites worldwide. Day-to-day work includes writing scripts and SQL queries, reviewing logs and alerts, running defined tests, maintaining configuration records and runbooks, and supporting deployments and upgrades. The role resolves routine issues and escalates risks affecting batches, product quality or data integrity to senior staff. It also involves configuring and testing AI-enabled solutions, and suits someone with 1 to 3 years of technical support or engineering experience.

What you'll do
- Implement scripts, SQL queries and configurations within approved architecture
- Troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis and escalate risks to batches or data integrity
- Execute technical tests, capture evidence and record defects
- Maintain specifications, configuration records, runbooks and knowledge articles
- Support deployments, migrations, upgrades and site users
- Configure, test and evaluate AI-enabled solutions and their outputs
What you need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, Automation, Data, Life Sciences or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Typically 1 to 3 years in technical support, software/platform engineering, automation, data, testing or a related role
- Experience with configuration, testing or technical support using documented procedures
- Hands-on experience with Generative AI tools such as Copilot, Azure OpenAI or chatbots
- Experience using Python, SQL or similar technologies
- Ability to review logs, alerts and metrics and gather evidence for investigation
