About this role
This role is in Infosys's Data & Analytics unit in Pune and centres on data engineering on Google Cloud. The developer builds and tunes BigQuery data warehouses and data marts, and creates ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services. Day to day it involves writing complex SQL, modelling data, orchestrating pipelines and keeping query costs under control. The developer also adds data quality checks and works with analysts, data scientists and business stakeholders. It suits engineering or computer applications graduates with 1 to 3 years of experience.

What you'll do
- Design, develop and optimise BigQuery data warehouses and data marts
- Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using GCP services
- Write complex SQL for data transformation and analysis
- Orchestrate pipelines with Cloud Composer (Airflow), Dataflow or Dataproc
- Perform data modelling and optimise query performance and cost
- Implement data validation, quality checks and monitoring, and follow GCP security and governance practices
What you need
- 1 to 3 years of experience
- Degree in MCA, M.Tech, B.E or B.Tech (computer science, IT or related field)
- Strong experience with Google BigQuery and advanced SQL
- Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Cloud Storage, Dataflow/Dataproc and Cloud Composer
- Experience in ETL/ELT development and data warehousing concepts
- Familiarity with Python or PySpark and BigQuery partitioning and clustering
