About this role
TransUnion is a global information and insights company whose products cover credit, marketing, fraud, risk and analytics. This Associate Developer role in Hyderabad is on a Big Data team that builds data pipelines and applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Day to day, you will write Spark, Scala and Python code, design data models and SQL queries, and fix pipeline issues while working with senior engineers. The role is hybrid, with at least two days a week in a TransUnion office. It suits candidates with 1–2 years of SQL and UNIX experience who want to grow in data engineering.

What you'll do
- Develop, test and deploy scalable data pipelines using Spark, Scala and Python
- Design data models and SQL queries for data access and analysis
- Build and deploy data solutions on GCP and help maintain data infrastructure
- Take part in code reviews and troubleshoot pipeline and application issues
- Work with data scientists, analysts and engineers on data requirements, and document pipelines
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- 1–2 years of experience with SQL and the UNIX operating system
- Hands-on experience with Spark, Scala and Python
- Solid understanding of SQL and relational database concepts
- Experience working in a GCP cloud environment and on Unix/Linux
