About this role
This Intel team builds Virtual Test Cards and validation solutions used throughout the product development lifecycle. The work centres on designing, developing, validating and debugging Simics-based virtual models and software tools that emulate physical test cards and validation hardware. These tools support pre-silicon and post-silicon validation, helping with early feature development, platform bring-up and debugging. The engineer works closely with hardware, firmware and software teams and also improves simulation and automation capabilities. The posting is for an experienced hire with 2 to 6 years of experience, based on-site in Bangalore, so it is not aimed at fresh graduates.

What you'll do
- Design, develop, validate and debug Simics-based virtual models and software tools
- Build virtual test cards that emulate physical validation hardware used in HSLE, PV and other environments
- Work with hardware, firmware and software engineers on validation tools and infrastructure
- Enhance simulation and automation capabilities
- Support platform development from architecture definition through deployment
What you need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or an equivalent field
- 2 to 6 years of experience
- Strong C++ and Python software development skills
- Experience in embedded software/firmware development, low-level programming and debugging
- Solid understanding of the PCI Express (PCIe) protocol
- Hands-on experience with Simics, simulation environments, virtual platforms or system-level modeling
- Experience with version control, automated testing frameworks and AI-assisted development tools
