About this role
This Bangalore internship is in a Marvell group building coherent optical communications products for data center interconnect and long-haul and metro networks. The intern supports design, development, debugging and testing of software and firmware components across the software development lifecycle. The work includes contributing to automation frameworks, manual testing, and troubleshooting OS, memory and networking issues. It suits M.Tech or MS students with C, Linux and networking basics who work well with mentors and cross-functional teams.

What you'll do
- Assist in the design, development and debugging of software/firmware components
- Support SDLC activities including requirement analysis, coding, testing and documentation
- Work with cross-functional teams on system-level and application-level development tasks
- Contribute to automation frameworks and manual testing efforts
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to OS behavior, memory management and networking
What you need
- Pursuing or recently completed M.Tech / MS in Computer Science, Electronics or a related field
- Exposure to the Software Development Life Cycle
- Strong understanding of C programming, including debugging and scripting
- Foundational knowledge of operating systems and memory management
- Familiarity with Linux and Linux kernel internals; understanding of networking protocols and firmware development
- Python knowledge preferred; approved intern for the 2027 calendar year
