About this role
Mastercard's Corporate Solutions group in Pune builds payment products for corporate clients, including travel and B2B solutions. The Software Engineer II works on Java microservices, event-driven systems, data platforms and analytics integrations on cloud-native infrastructure. Daily work includes building and testing services and APIs, working with Kafka and Oracle databases, and supporting reporting through tools like Power BI. What you'll do
- Contribute to design, development, testing and deployment of scalable microservices and APIs
- Develop Java and Spring Boot services integrated with enterprise platforms
- Build and maintain event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka
- Develop and optimize Oracle database solutions, including SQL, data modeling and performance tuning
- Build and maintain data pipelines and integrations supporting Power BI and other analytics platforms
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies and continuous improvement
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs and microservices
- Experience with Apache Kafka event-driven applications
- Strong Oracle skills including SQL, PL/SQL and query optimization
- Experience with CI/CD, Git, and cloud deployment platforms such as PCF, Kubernetes or Docker
