Netomi is an agentic AI platform for enterprise customer experience, used by large global brands. This Data Engineer I role is on the Analytics team and is remote within India. The engineer builds data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes, and runs exploratory analysis to check data and find trends. They work with data scientists, analysts and software engineers on data models for analytics. The role suits engineers with about two years of data or backend experience.

What you'll do
- Build scalable, secure and reliable data pipelines on platforms like Spark, Databricks, Airflow and Snowflake
- Develop ETL/ELT processes to ingest structured and unstructured data
- Perform exploratory data analysis to find trends and validate data integrity
- Design data models with data scientists, analysts and software engineers
- Write clean Python code with unit and integration tests
- Own end-to-end feature delivery in an agile team
What you need
- Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in data engineering or backend development
- Solid understanding of relational databases (RDS, MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Apache Kafka or RabbitMQ
- Proficiency in Python, SQL and a pipeline orchestration tool such as Airflow
- Experience with cloud data platforms and an understanding of data modeling, warehousing and distributed systems
