About this role
Netsmart builds healthcare technology for post-acute and human services providers, including software used for electronic health records and telehealth. The QA Automation Engineer in Bengaluru tests each stage of the software development process to confirm it meets company standards. The work involves building and maintaining automation frameworks and scripts, running functional, regression and performance tests, and tracking defects. The engineer also writes test plans and joins product design reviews to give input on testability. It suits someone with some hands-on test automation experience and strong communication skills. The role may need availability outside standard hours on a rotational on-call basis.

What you'll do
- Set up, configure and maintain the automation environment and framework
- Design, develop and maintain modular, reusable test automation scripts, including performance test scripts
- Build and maintain an automation library covering requirements and regression scenarios
- Identify, report and track product defects clearly
- Write, revise and verify test plans and test procedures
- Join product design reviews and report testing estimates and status
What you need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience
- At least 1 year of experience developing and running automated test scripts
- At least 1 year of experience writing manual test cases, test plans and executing tests
- Strong understanding of software quality assurance standards and practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interpret business requirements and write test specifications and scenarios
- Availability outside standard business hours for rotational on-call
