About this role

Silicon Labs makes low-power wireless connectivity chips and software for smart home, industrial IoT and smart cities. This role sits in the Wi-Fi DevOps team in Hyderabad, which owns how the Wi-Fi software organization builds, tests and releases embedded software. Day to day, the engineer builds and maintains CI/CD pipelines, build systems and test infrastructure, and looks for ways to automate manual delivery work. The position offers a lot of autonomy and suits someone with embedded software experience and a DevOps mindset who likes improving developer workflows.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop and deploy CI/CD pipelines for embedded software products
  • Maintain and improve existing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure
  • Define the technical direction for embedded build and release processes with infrastructure and SRE teams
  • Automate workflows to cut manual effort and speed up software delivery
  • Build analytics, telemetry, monitoring and alerting to track system health and drive improvements
  • Establish metrics and development standards, and document processes and guidelines

What you need

  • 2+ years of experience in both software development and DevOps practices
  • Embedded software development experience
  • Proficiency with a cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud or Azure) and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Proficiency in at least two programming languages, one high level and one low level (e.g. C, Python, Java, Rust)
  • Strong Linux/Windows administration and scripting skills, plus Git
  • Experience with containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), monitoring tools, and testing frameworks such as pytest or Robot
