Unisys is a global IT company offering security-centric solutions to government, financial services and commercial clients. This SOC Detection and Response Engineer role is a full-time, home-based position in India. The engineer monitors and triages alerts from SIEM, EDR and other security tools, investigates suspicious activity, and escalates serious incidents to senior analysts. The work also includes supporting threat hunting, working with MSSP analysts, maintaining SOAR playbooks and keeping investigation records. It suits people with 2-3 years of SOC, MSSP or incident response experience.

What you'll do
- Monitor and triage alerts from SIEM, EDR, IDS/IPS, email, identity and cloud security platforms
- Investigate alerts, collect evidence and escalate complex or high-severity incidents
- Assist senior analysts with containment and response activities
- Take part in threat hunting and use MITRE ATT&CK to understand attacker behavior
- Review MSSP alerts and reports and support SOAR playbook maintenance and testing
- Keep audit-ready documentation of investigations and case outcomes
What you need
- Any degree
- 2-3 years of experience in a SOC, MSSP, incident response or similar cybersecurity setting
- Working knowledge of SIEM platforms and experience investigating EDR alerts
- Foundational understanding of Windows, Linux, identity services and network security
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK and basic cloud security concepts
- Strong analytical skills to spot anomalies and patterns
