About this role
This Bengaluru role is in Amazon's GSARC-AOP Research Science team, which builds and runs optimisation and decision-support tools for network design, quick commerce and packaging across Amazon's Rest of World markets. The analyst keeps the team's production models and pipelines running, scheduling regular runs, validating inputs and outputs and handling first-level troubleshooting. The rest of the time goes to BI work: writing complex SQL, automating manual tasks with Python, building pipelines and dashboards and answering deep-dive data requests. The person works with Operations Research scientists, BI engineers and program managers, with workloads peaking during planning cycles. It suits someone with about 2 years of analytics or automation experience who likes reliability-focused work.

What you'll do
- Monitor production models and pipelines and run scheduled executions and data refreshes
- Troubleshoot pipeline and model-run failures and escalate modelling issues to scientists
- Validate run inputs and outputs and flag anomalies
- Write and maintain complex SQL queries and ETL jobs, and automate tasks with Python
- Build data pipelines and dashboards and handle deep-dive requests
- Maintain runbooks, run documentation and operational trackers
What you need
- 2+ years of data analytics or automation experience
- Experience with SQL, SAS, SPSS or similar data mining tools
- Bachelor's degree or above in engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics or a related quantitative field
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and communication, with experience in automation and version control tools
