About this role
Astreya is a global IT managed services provider. Its AI/ML Engineers design and implement machine learning models to solve enterprise IT and operational problems, covering areas such as NLP, computer vision, automation and predictive modeling. At Level I, the engineer works under guidance on data preparation, simple models and supporting scripts. Typical outputs include cleaned datasets, exploratory data analysis reports, experiment notebooks and unit-tested ML scripts. The role is full-time and remote in India, and suits someone with 1 to 2 years in data science or ML who is comfortable with Python.

What you'll do
- Clean, annotate and pre-process datasets for supervised learning models
- Implement simple ML models such as logistic regression and decision trees under guidance
- Produce exploratory data analysis reports and Jupyter notebooks documenting experiments
- Write, debug and unit-test ML scripts
- Assist with feature engineering, data pipelines, deployment and documentation
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, IT or a related field
- 1 to 2 years in data science/ML roles
- Hands-on experience with frameworks like scikit-learn or PyTorch
- Python (must); SQL and Pandas for data pipelines
- Strong analytical and debugging skills
- Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
