What you'll do
- Build skeleton/stub components to support integration tests
- Develop automation utilities and scripts for routine tasks
- Gather and validate non-functional requirements from customers and stakeholders
- Analyse performance test runs, report defects and share findings
- Prepare and review performance test reports
- Mentor team members on performance testing and join stakeholder status meetings as needed
What you need
- 1-3 years as a Performance Tester/Engineer on Java applications, on-prem or cloud
- Hands-on JMeter; familiarity with Gatling or k6, APM, log analysis and profiling tools
- Understanding of NFRs and metrics needed for performance certification of a Java application
- Linux performance commands and shell scripting
- Telegraf, InfluxDB and Grafana for application monitoring
- Thread dump, GC log and heap dump analysis
- Strong communication, problem-solving and ability to work independently under pressure
