About this role
This is an early-career Software Engineer II role at Google Cloud in Bengaluru, on the Virtual Machine team for Google Distributed Cloud. What you'll do
- Design and develop features for deploying and operating Google Distributed Cloud air-gapped
- Review design documents and code from other engineers and work with partner teams
- Collaborate with engineers, PMs and TPMs to deliver a high-quality system
- Contribute to documentation and educational content
- Triage, debug and resolve product or system issues, using AI to carry out core work
What you need
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 1 year of experience in a language such as Java, Python, Go or C++
- 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms
- Preferred: Master's in Computer Science or related field, Go, Kubernetes or container orchestration, and cloud platforms such as GCP
