About this role
EXL is hiring an AI engineer to build AI-first products using large language models. What you'll do
- Build AI-first products
- Design and implement agentic workflows
- Develop and optimize RAG pipelines
- Prototype, test, improve and scale quickly
- Work across APIs, backend systems, integrations and deployment
What you need
- Hands-on experience in software engineering, AI or ML (posting states 1-5 years; header lists 0-3)
- Strong coding skills, with Python preferred
- Experience with LLM APIs such as OpenAI or open-source models
- Experience with frameworks like LangChain, LlamaIndex, CrewAI or AutoGen
- Experience building real-world applications, not just notebooks
- Proof of work in the application: GitHub profile, live demos or AI portfolio
