About this role
This role is in HPE's Product Security Office in Bengaluru, on a hybrid model with about 2 days a week in the office. The team builds AI/ML-powered security applications. The engineer works on web applications and services using the MERN stack and Python, and on solutions involving AI/ML, large language models, cloud and automation. Day to day, the work includes development, testing, integration and debugging alongside cross-functional teams. It suits engineers with around 2-4 years of experience.

What you'll do
- Design enhancements, updates and programming changes for application components and services
- Analyze design requirements and determine coding, testing and integration activities
- Develop application functionality following engineering standards and guidelines
- Execute test plans, debug issues and improve code quality, performance and reliability
- Work with cross-functional engineering teams and communicate design status, progress and issue resolution
What you need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Typically 2-4 years of software development experience
- Experience building applications with the MERN stack and Python
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as GitOps, Docker, Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Experience with software testing methodologies, test plans and debugging
- Familiarity with AI/ML, cloud, MLOps and LLMs, and understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding (listed under experience and expertise)
