About this role

Revvity builds instruments and software for scientists, researchers and clinicians working on health challenges. This Mumbai internship sits in the engineering team that develops software for scientific and laboratory instruments. Day to day you write Python code under senior guidance and support integration with hardware and firmware. You also work with REST APIs and device communication, operate in Linux and embedded environments such as Raspberry Pi, and write and run tests. The role suits Computer Science, IT, Electronics or Electrical students and graduates who know Python and want hands-on work on both software and hardware integration.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain Python components, scripts and small enhancements
  • Support integration of software with hardware, firmware and instruments
  • Work with REST APIs and software-to-device communication
  • Deploy and troubleshoot software on Linux and embedded platforms
  • Write and run unit, integration and functional tests and investigate defects
  • Document changes and test results and join code reviews

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree, completed or in progress, in CS, IT, Electronics, Electrical or related field
  • Good Python programming and basic OOP knowledge
  • Basic knowledge of Linux and Git
  • Basic understanding of HTTP, JSON and APIs
  • Willingness to work on hardware/software integration
  • Good communication and documentation skills
