Cloud Support Engineer - Application Security (Night Shift)

About this role

This Pune night-shift role is in Snowflake's Support team and centres on security-related customer issues. The engineer helps customers use the Snowflake AI Data Cloud securely, troubleshooting authentication, identity, networking and access control problems. Customers and partners are supported by email, web and phone, with SLAs and escalation processes to follow. The engineer also writes up known solutions, logs bugs and feeds customer feedback to engineering. What you'll do

  • Resolve complex technical problems for customers and partners via email, web and phone
  • Troubleshoot authentication, authorization, identity provider, network policy and access control issues
  • Meet response and resolution SLAs and follow escalation processes
  • Investigate issues using Snowflake, connectors, partner software and internal tools
  • Document solutions and report bugs and feature requests
  • Partner with engineering and cover holidays and weekends as business needs require

What you need

  • 2+ years in technical support or a similar customer-facing technical role
  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Excellent written and verbal English with attention to detail
  • Good understanding of at least one major public cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
  • Proficiency with SAML, SSO, OAuth, SCIM, MFA, SSL/TLS and identity providers
  • Understanding of IAM and RBAC policies
  • Knowledge of web security and networking protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, REST APIs, proxies and firewalls
  • Knowledge of data warehouse fundamentals
