About this role
Softmason Technologies is an IT services company building custom software, enterprise applications, cloud and AI solutions, and business automation. The Business Analyst gathers requirements from clients and stakeholders, studies existing processes, and turns business needs into functional specifications for developers. Day to day this involves writing documents such as BRDs, FRDs and user stories, joining Agile ceremonies, supporting UAT, and reporting on data with Excel, SQL or Power BI. The posting accepts both freshers (0-1 year) and candidates with up to 5 years of experience, and suits analytical people with good communication skills.

What you'll do
- Run requirement-gathering sessions and stakeholder interviews with clients
- Prepare BRD, FRD and SRS documents, user stories and acceptance criteria
- Analyze existing processes, do gap and impact analysis, and draw process flows
- Work with developers and QA through the SDLC and Agile ceremonies
- Support UAT, defect tracking and client sign-off
- Build reports and dashboards using Excel, SQL, Power BI or similar tools
What you need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field (MBA, MCA, B.Tech, B.E., BCA preferred)
- Freshers: basic understanding of business analysis concepts and software development processes
- Knowledge of requirement gathering and documentation
- Familiarity with Excel, SQL and business process workflows
- Strong analytical and communication skills
- Willingness to learn business analysis tools and methodologies
