About this role
This role sits in Swiss Re's Life & Health Data & Analytics Engineering team in Hyderabad, which builds data and AI products for the Life & Health reinsurance business under the Advance with AI initiative. The Technical Business Analyst works between business users in underwriting, in-force management, operations and actuarial teams and the AI, data and technology delivery teams. Day to day, the work covers gathering and documenting requirements, analysing data with SQL, and checking that AI outputs, dashboards and workflows match business needs. The role also involves functional testing, UAT, defect analysis and support around go-live. It suits someone with 2–3 years of business and data analysis experience and some insurance domain knowledge, so it is not an entry-level fresher role. The team works hybrid, with at least three days a week in the office.

What you'll do
- Work with L&H business partners to shape use cases and define MVP scope for AI products
- Capture business requirements and turn them into functional and non-functional specifications
- Analyse business problems and validate data using SQL
- Define and run functional test scenarios and UAT, and analyse defects and root causes
- Validate AI-enabled insights, dashboards and workflows from a business perspective
- Support go-live readiness, sign-offs, production incident analysis and post-go-live adoption
What you need
- 2–3 years of hands-on business analysis and data analysis experience
- Functional testing and QA background, including test scenarios, UAT and defect management
- Hands-on SQL experience for data analysis and validation
- Life & Health insurance or reinsurance domain experience (underwriting, in-force management or actuarial workflows)
- Experience with data platforms, analytics solutions or AI-enabled products
