About this role

IQ-EQ is an investor services group providing administration, accounting, reporting and compliance services to the investment sector. This engineer builds and maintains data platforms on Microsoft Fabric that support analytics and business reporting. The work includes building pipelines and lakehouse solutions, writing PySpark notebooks, developing warehouse SQL and designing data models for Power BI. It also covers data quality checks, monitoring and CI/CD deployments. It suits data engineers with at least 2 years on Fabric, Azure Synapse or Azure data engineering.

What you'll do

  • Build and optimize Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflow Gen2, Lakehouse and ETL/ELT workflows
  • Write PySpark notebooks for ingestion, transformation, cleansing and aggregation
  • Develop warehouse solutions with Fabric Warehouse and SQL Endpoints, including stored procedures, views and incremental loads
  • Design conceptual, logical and physical data models, including star and snowflake schemas and Power BI semantic models
  • Ensure data quality through validation, monitoring, troubleshooting and CI/CD deployments under governance and security standards

What you need

  • 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Data Engineering
  • Hands-on experience with Fabric components: Data Pipelines, Dataflow Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouse, SQL Endpoints, Power BI semantic models
  • Proficiency in Python and PySpark
  • Advanced SQL and data modeling skills, including ETL/ELT and fact and dimension modeling
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps or GitHub, and CI/CD and release management
