About this role

This role sits in PUMA's Consumer Intelligence team in Pune, which builds consumer-facing web applications for AI-driven product discovery, search, recommendations and personalization. What you'll do

  • Build and enhance web applications for AI-driven product discovery, search, recommendation and personalization
  • Develop reusable UI components and consumer-facing apps using React
  • Integrate GenAI, recommendation and search capabilities with AI/ML and data engineers
  • Build search and discovery experiences using Elasticsearch, OpenSearch or similar platforms
  • Integrate frontends with APIs, microservices and enterprise platforms
  • Contribute to backend services and keep solutions secure, scalable and reliable

What you need

  • 2-4 years of experience building modern web applications
  • Strong React, TypeScript and JavaScript skills
  • Experience integrating frontends with REST APIs and backend services
  • Working knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, API development and microservices
  • Exposure to search technologies, SQL/NoSQL databases, Redis and a cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
  • Good grasp of software engineering fundamentals and cross-team collaboration
