About this role

Blue Yonder provides an AI-driven supply chain platform used by retailers, manufacturers and logistics providers. This Associate Technical Consultant role in Bangalore sits on a cloud team that builds Java-based microservices and custom components for the product and its customer implementations. You will write and test code, fix defects and break user stories into development tasks with guidance from senior developers. The work runs in Agile sprints and uses Spring Boot, Kafka and NoSQL databases. It suits developers with 1–2 years of Java experience who have some exposure to order management systems or want to learn them.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain Java-based microservices under the guidance of senior team members
  • Design and build custom components and reusable solutions for customer implementations
  • Write unit and integration tests and contribute to test automation
  • Take part in issue triage, debugging, defect fixing and code reviews
  • Join Agile ceremonies and turn requirements into development tasks

What you need

  • 1–2 years of Java development experience with a good grasp of Java 8 fundamentals
  • Academic, internship or project experience with Spring Boot and Kafka, plus basic exposure to Reactive Programming
  • Good understanding of OOP, data structures and software development fundamentals
  • Basic understanding of Order Management Systems (Sterling OMS exposure is an advantage)
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB
