About this role

Synchrony's Enterprise Integration Services team builds and runs secure, scalable integrations such as APIs, middleware and messaging that move data between systems. What you'll do

  • Build microservices, micro frontends and APIs using cloud technologies
  • Manage DevOps pipelines for microservices, micro frontends and APIs
  • Analyse production defects, find root causes and implement fixes
  • Work with third-party vendors to develop or integrate software
  • Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies including sprint planning and standups
  • Provide on-call support

What you need

  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant IT experience, or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • 2+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, Spring Framework, React JS, Git, Maven, REST and SOAP
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or PCF, and Docker and Kubernetes
  • Experience with messaging tools such as RabbitMQ, IBM MQ or Kafka
  • Experience writing tests with JUnit, Mockito and Spring Test, and using CI tools such as Jenkins
  • Working knowledge of RDBMS and logging tools like ELK or Splunk
