About this role
This is an intermediate-level Applications Development Programmer Analyst role (C10) in Citi's technology team, working on new and revised application systems and programs. The developer codes, tests, documents and releases stories as part of a development team. They review code for accuracy, debug issues, and work with program management and quality control teams to meet project schedules. The role includes owning production release planning and execution. It suits a Java developer with a few years of experience in Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs and microservices.

What you'll do
- Develop code, test, document and release stories as part of the development team
- Review code for accuracy and functionality
- Work with Program Management and Quality Control teams to deliver quality software on schedule
- Plan and execute production releases smoothly
- Analyze existing operations to identify risks and redundancies and recommend solutions
- Conduct testing and debugging and write code to design specifications
What you need
- 2 to 4 years of application development experience
- Proficiency in Java, Spring, Hibernate, real-time messaging and related Java frameworks
- Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Strong knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle
- Experience building applications on platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes or OpenShift
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
- Strong analytical, debugging and communication skills
