About this role

IQ-EQ is an investor services group that handles administration, accounting, reporting, regulatory and compliance work for the investment sector. This role sits in its Digital & AI team within Technology and is a permanent, full-time position. The engineer designs, builds and deploys AI-driven solutions such as LLM and RAG systems, NLP applications, computer vision and predictive models. Day to day it involves working with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams, guiding developers and data scientists, and keeping solutions reliable and secure. It suits someone with a computer science or engineering background and at least 2 years of experience taking AI projects to production.

What you'll do

  • Design, develop and deploy AI/ML solutions including LLMs, RAG, NLP, computer vision and predictive analytics
  • Provide technical leadership to developers, data scientists and engineers to deliver projects on scope, budget, quality and time
  • Gather requirements from business stakeholders and turn technical concepts into business solutions
  • Set and maintain best practices for software development, QA, security, scalability and reliability
  • Monitor solution performance, optimise processes and ensure policy and regulatory compliance

What you need

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
  • At least 2 years of experience delivering AI projects from concept to production
  • Proficiency in Python, Java or C++
  • Hands-on experience with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Keras, LLMs, transfer learning and AWS Bedrock
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with experience in Agile/Scrum environments
  • Certifications (AWS, Azure AI) and financial services or private equity exposure are advantageous
