About this role
Perceptyne is a deeptech robotics and AI startup building industrial humanoid robots to automate dexterous assembly tasks in the automotive and electronics industries. The Field Application Engineer turns this technology into customer deployments by installing, integrating and supporting the robots at client sites. Day to day, the work covers diagnosing technical issues remotely and on-site, running validation and testing, and feeding real-world findings back to engineering. It also involves writing documentation and training customers. The role suits a self-driven robotics or embedded-systems engineer who is comfortable with heavy travel and customer-facing work.

What you'll do
- Install, configure and integrate Perceptyne's robotic systems in client environments
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues remotely and on-site to minimize downtime
- Work with clients to understand their operational needs and advise on best practices
- Run system validation campaigns, software updates and performance evaluations
- Give engineering teams feedback from real-world deployments
- Write technical documentation, troubleshooting guides and user manuals, and train customers
What you need
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Electrical/Electronics/Communications/Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- 2+ years of experience
- Strong understanding of robotics systems, kinematics, dynamics and motion planning
- Experience integrating and deploying robotic or embedded systems at client locations
- Hands-on proficiency with Python, C/C++ and ROS
- Willingness to travel 30-50% domestically and internationally
- Strong communication, problem-solving and cross-functional influencing skills
